If you are kind enough to give a little extra money you have to charity, should it always go to human charities first?

I only ask because I get into arguments when I say I would always give money to animal charities, but probably never to human charities.

I just care more about the welfare of animals and in the end it is my choice who I donate to, or do some of you think it is a waste?

That's the same way my Mrs is wired.

She couldn't give a flying fuck about starving kids in Africa but you show her a donkey or snow leopard charity advert on the tele and she wants to give them money.

Sponsored a dog for my 7 year old daughter for Xmas, as that is what she wanted. She was made up when the sponsor pack came through, better than all the other presents we got her.

I donate to a couple of charities. Battersea dogs home get £12 a month, it's not much but it feeds a dog

And you have no problem giving £12 a month to a dog rather than say a cancer charity?

-- Thu Jan 10, 2013 5:19 pm --
