Just got back from a great weekend in Glasgow.

Managed to do Parkhead and Hampden yesterday (as well as night racing at Hamilton).
This morning did Ibrox.

Was really impressed with all 3 grounds. All heavily steeped in history.

Highlight of the visits was the Celtic tour guide telling us that Roy Keane is the ONLY player who ever refused to sign a shirt for him. Apparently he swaggered about like he owned the place.

The trip must have been, to use the local vernacular, ''gash'' if that was the highlight!!

;-)

Celtic guide said Samaras is really well liked at the club and the Rangers guy said they were desperate to keep Weiss for another year.

Oh and Baconface was as much a grumpy twat as a player as he is as a manager.

Samaras wasn't the guide?

Surprised us he was so complimentary about him. Apparently he's a cool head amongst the madness of 100mph SPL football!

Did you go to any of the pubs/restaurants i mentioned mate.
(oh btw Kev,gerrit up ye ;) )

YOH - Hampden tour & museum for 5p was a bonus. Went past New Douglas Park, decent little ground and Hamilton Park one of the better racetracks I've been on.

TCB - Was planning to do India Quay after the races, but I had the trots all day, so thought better of it.

Rangers trophy room was impressive. Not so much the silverware, but the gifts exchanged with other clubs. Saw 3 City pennants in there. There was also a statue from a game with the rags, where to quote the tour guide "Looks like Utd bought that from the £ shop".

Oh and to balance things up, the Celtic guy was only too happy to tell us that Rangers name is not on the Scottish Cup!
