Glass Tunnel now taking shape

Is it any wonder there is no atmosphere any more. All way over the top if you ask me. Its a football match we are going to watch. Has the world gone mad.

Like a fucking theme park at City now, don't feel like I belong anymore.

took some overseas friends on the club tour yesterday. Quite a bit roped off due to construction work on this glass tunnel, one of the worst ideas the club has ever had in my opinion, of most note however is that a wall is now going up on the concourse between 126 and 127 so from the everton game onwards that's one less bar for those of us who sit around 125 to use which will make getting a half time pint virtually impossible, though I'm sure I can live without it. No more meeting my mate in 128 at half time and at the end of the game rather than a quick dash down the concourse to the tram stop I'm gonna have to double back to entrance p to get out and then come back on myself putting me at the back of a already ridiculous queue.
I could of course do what a lot do and leave a couple of minutes early (but I wont) but guaranteed some will leaving even more empty seats as the game concludes.
Still we were told by the tour guide that the fans were at the centre of the club so I guess that's all good then.

Agree with you. They dont give 2 hoots about the average die hard supporter. Its turning into a club for the rich boys. Its really sad whats happening to City-its more about external glamour than success on the field. How are we are able to create any kind of atmosphere in the ground when more and more of this rich shit rubbish is being pushed on us. Is it suprising the atmosphere is close to nothing. The priorities are all wrong. City will not be the ppls club much longer.

I too think this is way over the top and not belonging to a football match experience. It's however a small part of people, fans in their own way, that will have this experience. Don't agree this is where the club ignores the 'true' fan and I can't see it having an influence on the atmosphere inside Etihad.

Absoltely sir. And its gonna get a lot worse. I feel the club is slipping away from the real fans to those that can afford top wack for anything and turn up for the occassional big match . All very sad if u ask me.

As long as it keeps my ticket cheap I'll be happy. We need to use these stupid gimmicks to help us expand the stadium over 80k. Then and only then will we see season tickets for around £100!

Proper supporters will be vetted and discouraged from being in that area in case they upset a JCL with their shouting.

We now have 53k+ every league game! 80k sell out half dozen times a season then they'll be a few at 70 60. Personally I would love a 120k stadium.

I hate this and everything it represents another step away from the loyal supporters that have supported this club for decades. All they seem to care about are the day trippers spending cash at the city store and bringing in the corporate suits!
