Glastonbury 2013

I see things from a different perspective. Alex Turner was playing up IMO. He's always been awkward when talking on stage. Material wise, yes the sing-a-long nature has gone, but the tunes are still pretty cool. The Josh Homme effect will lose fans but gain new ones. Love that opener Do You Wanna Know? On the new album it apparently runs straight into R U Mine? Promising if true.

On the new look, they've been stateside for almost a year with that look. But who cares anyway?

From what I've seen of it so far:

Bastille - Seen them a few times this year, really like them. Watched their full set. The chunk they showed on bbc3 (20 minutes or so) was good, but could have selected other songs to show on it from their set (50 minutes)

Dizzee rascal - looked like the same set he did before muse a few weeks ago.
Not a big fan of that music but there's something about him that I really like.
He seems to get the crowd going. Strangely like that song he's done with robbie williams. Going crazy I think it's called?

Foals - Very big fan of these. Holy Fires is probably one of my favourite albums so far this year.
A bit underwhelmed watching them do their set to be honest. Shame really as I did want to see them live, but I'm not too sure now.

Peace - Fairly decent set. Their dress sense though?

Miles Kane - Sounded brilliant and put on a very good set.

Professor Green - Meh!?!?!? Noticed in his interview afterwards he talks like the complete opposite of how I imagined him too. Sounds like a very well spoken lad. Not my cup of tea though.

Portishead - Don't really get them to be honest. Very very dull.

Arctic monkies - May get slated for this, but I really do think they're overrated.
I do like a couple of their songs. But I find them very bland and really one dimensional.

Really looking forward to seeing a few bands today.
Two door cinema club are pretty decent live.

beady eye were amazing yesterday. just seen the strypes who were recommended by brisblue I think and they were brilliant. just sat in the sun waiting for Johnny marr and then primal scream then obviously the rolling stones. highlights so far beady eye, the hives because the lead singer is probably the funniest front man ever, he got the crowd involved, courteeners and jake bugg in the acoustic tent. loving it here

Just watched Johnny's set on a stream. Don't suppose that was you right at the front with a dark blue City polo shirt on was it?

Johnny did a great set there. Great to hear the crowd chanting "There is a light that never goes out" as they all filed out after the show.

Two door cinema club currently doing a pretty good set.
Looking and sounding great as usual

Primal Scream just been on. I remember 2005, it was fucking hilarious... and Bobby was off his tits.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=mh9DPVKqHzA" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... h9DPVKqHzA</a>

Bobby: "Do you wanna hear the Stone Roses?"

Crowd shouts "Yeah!".

Bobby: "You should have been here 15 years ago you lazy bastards"

He was then escorted off stage by security:D
