I’m not sure how you gained that from the bbc footage unless you were actually at Glastonbury in which case ignore this post.Thought Stormzy clearly gave it everything, but only his biggest supporters would say that was successful. As I said when he was announced he just doesn't have the back catalogue, and he didn't space out his more well known ones - just played them in a row at the end. The crowd was uninvolved and appeared largely uninterested for the first 90 mins.
The crowd look fully engaged to me. The songs aren’t sing-a-longs like the Carpenters but youngsters these days clearly love him.
Watching it this morning and it’s the 1st time I’ve ever been watching Glastonbury and my kids have come to watch it with me. One 18 and one 12.
