I disagree. It's IMO disgrace that Connolly got a prison sentence for a tweet, seen by hardly anyone, and quickly deleted.
BTW, it's also debatable whether she was even inciting violence. What she actually said was she said "set fire to all the f****** hotels full of the b******* for all I care"
The last 4 words are critical because they moderate the meaning entirely. Without them, it's a clear call for violence. With them, it's more of a "I wash my hands of it, do what you like", the interpretaion of which would not even be illegal, let alone imprisonable.
Either way I think putting someone in jail for a tweet (however appalling) is ridiculous. I strongly suspect it has Starmer's prints all over it, leaning on former judiciary chums.
