Glastonbury 2025

Depeche would die flat on their arse on the Pyramid Stage. They're not a festival band.
The dream was always to see Depeche at Glasto. But, after seeing them at multiple festivals over the years, it's just not the same as their own gigs.
They would be perfect for an Other Stage headliner against a pop act. I don't think their ego would go for that. They're too big for the Other Stage.
They should tick all the boxes for headliner. Unfortunately, from my experience of them at festivals and my time at Glastonbury, I just don't see them fitting.
I will be more than happy at a new album and tour.
I think they would do OK, as long as it was end of day so it got a bit dark. Much better in the dark. I've seen them a few times at festivals over the years and they've been fine.

You need someone who can hold a crowd that size in the palm of their hand. The Stones, Elton and yes, Coldplay all nailed it. Irrespective of whether you like their music or not. I had never heard of 99% of the artists this year. I have to speak to my parole officer about getting out more.

I thought Jay Z did a really good job when he headlined. Was loads of moaning in the press before his set. I think he walked out playing Wonderwall IIRC! Even won my old man over who can't stand 90% of rap.

Forgot how funny this was. Noel had been slagging him being booked very vocally in the press, he's murdering Wonderwall on purpose then straight into 99 problems over Back in Black.

He's far from my favourite rapper Jay Z but he was at his absolute peak here and gave a great performance. Beyoncé was great when she headlined aswell.

On the Saturday I was stood there having a beer, when I get a tap on my shoulder. Look round and this little fella says "Nice T-shirt, mate"
It was only Alexis Taylor from Hot Chip. It made my whole weekend as I adore Hot Chip. I was proper buzzing.

Your brand new mate has curated an ambient focus on BBC sounds - just been listening to it . Excellent

He played on tye ambient tree at Glasto. I went to see it after Fatboy Slim. I was smashed and I have absolutely no idea what he played. I was make up when he stopped for a chat. He could have just walked past and I would never have known.

Sounds like a decent fella, and he certainly understands ambient judging by his ambient focus mix
