Glastonbury

So £228 to sleep in shite for 3 nights, surrounded by twats and to see the three headline acts....

Muse singing the same song for an hour
Fuckin Adele... No more to be said
And Coldplay sending you to sleep with an 70 yr old screeching like his bollocks were in a vice and an old farmer doing karaoke

Fuck that !!!!!

It's 5 nights.

Glastonbury has something like 25 stages with a staggering number of acts.

Bang on the money. I wouldn't pay to go and see them. But there's no denying that they've got the performing live malarkey nailed. People go to see them and to enjoy the concert. Isn't that what fans of any band do? The VB tribute was well thought out, as was the BeeGees bit. Have to say though, the end was a bit schmaltzy, with the kids on stage and Michael Eavis doing his Sinatra karaoke act.

Eavis was a bit much but, hey, the guy probably deserved his moment in the spotlight.

Have spent nearly 2 days in bed after returning. It took us 11 hours to move the final 6 hours. The mud was unreal, it was just everywhere.

Yet the only negative I have from the whole event was the fact New Order only got 75 minutes. Spent most of my time there around the Glade area and Shades Of Rhythm @ Arcadia were ace as well.

Done a couple of Glastonbury's and after getting to see New Order headline a stage there, I do not think I would go back, as it really does take it out of you.

Took me from 13:00 Wednesday til 03:30 Thursday to get there. I didn't hear a single person moan. Took fukin ages to get anywhere once in. No moaning. It's a lovely place to be. There's music too.

My 4th and last one for a while. Only just back to feeling anything resembling normal, making miles in that thick mud has fucked my knee and back. Had a top time, but Jesus it was hard work by the Sunday!

Madness were the highlight for me.

Big fan of the Editors so enjoyed watching their set on the iPlayer. Not sure their music suits an afternoon slot though.

Glasto just doesn't really appeal to me, much prefer the 'smaller' festivals. Bingley last year was great, weekend ticket for £49 to see James, Cast, Ash, Idlewild, Super Furry Animals, Embrace amongst others. Not going this year though cos the line up is crap ;)

I had the time of my life and you really do forget about your surroundings(i.e. rain, mudd etc) and didn't really see a bad performance. and with Oasis possibly headlining next year with the Foo Fighters and Kasabien it could be prenominal.

Anyone get tickets? Got one this morning, been 3 times before....

Greatest event I've ever been to and the whole experience is phenomenal...

The music is just a bonus!
