Not really been discussed on it's own but the election will be held on Thursday 6 May 2021.

You will have two votes, and can choose from nine candidates in the Greater Manchester mayoral election.

The front runnner is obvioulsy Burnham and tbh only Labour have bothered knocking ony door /leafletted so not even sure what amy of the rest are offering.

There is a possiblilty the tories could get in if places like bolton, bury, middleton etc vote blue in this, but hopefully Manchester will prevent such a tragedy happen.

I will be voting for Burnham, not just because he is the Labour candidate, but because he is a big supporter of Health Innovation Manchester who I do a fair bit for.

Probs pick the Greens as my second choice.

Manchester needs a decent mayor and I think Burnham has done well.

I have a feeling he might sneak it mate:-)

Having read the sound bites last week from them all....Burnham pledges to make x better in a couple of them, that's a certain tick in the box for him next election as 'better' isn't particularly quantifiable. The others are all even less impressive.

We need a Labour Mayor but I've no urge to support Burnham so I'll be spoiling my paper by voting twice for Pab Zab.

Nadhim Zahawi off message this a.m. Too busy protecting the PM from ministerial code questions that he said the Tories' lack of a policy on care (promised in 2010) is still not ready, but they're looking at what Manchester has done on integrating health and care.
