GM mayoral election

I can't believe Andy Burnham gets so much support?

For a start he is a Liverpool fan and therefore a scouser
Secondly under his leadership we have a non functioning police force
Thirdly , last year he stopped greater Manchester going into tier three from tier two to try to force the government's hand to get us more money. He failed in this and it quickly became apparent that it was about his ego. Did we end up a lot worse off delaying going into tier three ?

I feel like he could shit in people's mouth and they would still vote for him
Fancy him trying to do the best for the people of Manchester hey!

He was a Greater Manchester MP before he was Mayor and thankfully he has been re-elected with an increased majority.

He speaks sense, he is calling for more devolution for Manchester, which is is a good thing for Manchester as it gives our own people a say over how a certain part of the overall budget is spent.

He is brilliant in supporting Innovation Health Manchester, which is making real change in the NHS and is helping Manchester become a driver in the health economy.

He has no need to shit in my mouth, he is a fabulous Mayor and the good people of Manchester have acknowledged that by voting for him in enormous numbers.

As someone who has never voted Labour I see Andy Burnham as the man for the job and sounds like a decent caring individual.

He would be a better Labour leader than the current incumbent and I believe he could unite the party and provide the opposition we need to the idiots in charge.
Won’t happen any time soon as he won’t abandon his post but in 3 or 4 years who knows?

He is an Everton fan, actually, although he is a scouser as he was born in Aintree, although it was still part of Lancashire at that point.

He tried in 2015 and got absolutely trounced by Corbyn, now that's as embarrassing as it gets and if I were him I would be thinking that the Labour party deserves all it gets.
