Just coming on here because it's derby day week and I'd like to get the opinion of the more clued up red across.
Look up the word "oxymoron" in a dictionary.

I very much doubt you want to hear my opinion on all things city for that reason I'm only commenting on threads to do with United.

I'd like to think I'm more clued up than the average United fan. You're thinking that's not hard, and fair enough you should. A lot of United fans are as clueless as they come. So if you ask me a question I'll give you an honest answer and you'd probably be surprised in what I say.

Back to May's party and the only thing that's a bit of a shame is that they were raise money for charity during the night. Goes without saying though the place would have been full of plebs.

Fair enough mate.

I've shat in your hat but I'll hold off from smearing it until I see a attendance/hooligan reference ;-)

then he should have mentioned Christies, instead of letting the muen highlight the 35 yr, they knew what they were doing, and got the response they expected, Christies was only mentioned when the gmp stepped in, which was always going to happen

Some people seem to think just being a United fan merits a ban on here, which isn't the case. Fans of other clubs are welcome as long as they're not being deliberately antagonistic.

Completely agree. Nothing was mentioned about it being for charity until it was cancelled. A complete balls up by May. All the United Nights have raised money for charity. The money from the auction always goes to Christies or the United Foundation. It's always mentioned on the night before the auction apparently (I've never been to one).

The MEN article was very poor. It focused on one thing only and that was the line at the bottom of the page saying it would also be chance to celebrate citys 35 years without a trophy. So it was basically published to provoke a reaction and low and behold there's a follow up on it today.
