I'm going for the fact that we have a bigger stadium 'footprint'. The copper says they can only charge for policing on the clubs land and we have a big area outside the stadium whereas the scum have fuck all.

I can't see how this is happening.
Police are present from 2 hours before Kick Off. We have approximately 12 to 15 police at the back of the Away Fans on Level 1. In addition to this there are several on the Away fans concourse. On top of this, there are police sat in vans in the away fans coach park during the game who then get out towards the end of the match.
I'm obviously not privy to the invoicing of all of this, but it just doesn't seem to add up. Say we have 50 police officers in attendance for 5 hours per game, and they were in attendance for all 29 home games last season, City would have been paying approximately £130 per hour, per head for it to add up.
I understand that there will be a certain element of the cost that will involve administrative fees, transport fees, horses etc etc....but it is a ridiculous figure

i always thought that at the Etihad the police go over the top a little,this enclosure that's erected after the game behind the away fans 'whats the point' at some point the away fans have to come into contact with others and as it is now its at the gate leading onto the main road so it may as well be the turn style exit, it can be argued that it can be used as an enlosure pen but if there are problems the fans can be held in the rear of the stand, its very 1970s and looks a mess,,are we the only club doing this?

Actually thought there was a potentially worrying lack of police presence in and around the ground. The best example being how absolutely diabolical they were when attempting to deal with the Gladbach fans in our end situation, there was a handful of them at best and it took them 60 minutes to come up with ingenious plan of moving them into 114 and sectioning that off. 40 minutes after the problems had stopped. God help us if there's any actual serious trouble in that area.

We should charge them for parking all those police vehicles on car park area. £100/ horse box/H. £50 per van/H. Another £100 per drop for all the horse sh1t. Finally £40 per game for all those in the ground watching the game. Oh and do they pay for that office they use with all the CCTV equipment in it. Did I miss anything.

Maybe there's a different balance of Police vs ShowSec (or whoever it is)?
It's one thing to say we're paying many times more for the policing, but what are the costs other clubs are paying for the likes of ShowSec or club staff, or similar? We can't just take the police bill in isolation, we have to see the overall security bill from each club to get a better picture.

130.00 per hour doesn't seem that much, and I expect there are charges for horses and equipment and possibly road closures etc.I can't see how this is happening.

That stupid Police wall outside Entrance K meaning everyone in the East Stand has to walk via Denmark to get to Town, will prob cost a lot.
None of the other big grounds in the country have anything like this
