These quotes below in particular made me laugh:

1) His team mate and partner in crime, Wayne Rooney, would obviously benefit form anger management classes. Then again, if Sir Alex is taking them, he is very unlikely to get any better, is he?

2) Two people who should know a lot better on how to behave as they sit in judgement on all and sundry, rather than actually show us if they could hack management and coaching, are Messrs Lineker and Lawrenson.

On MotD they childishly poked fun at Gus Hiddink for his pronunciation of the word "shloppy". Okay smart arses, next week you do the show in Dutch or Russian or any of the other languages that GH has probably mastered.

This article is a good read and I think Boji's criticism is right actually, it wasn't required from Val.

In the Manchester City v Sunderland game, there were a few talking points. Firstly, there was the emergence of another foreigner waving imaginary cards in front of the ref as City's Bojinov was asking for an opponent to be sent off. It was pathetic and he should have been booked for that.

he did get booked though..... what a biazarre statement to make!

That's true...he did get a yellow didn't he? haha...send him an e-mail about it!!

It's a good article and deserves quoting in full:
Let's be honest, no one likes Manchester United apart from their hordes of fans and their antics on Saturday hardly endeared themselves to the sporting public.

No matter who you support, you cannot surely condone the petulant behaviour of some of the world's best known players. Youngsters idolise them and copy their actions but are they good role models? The club should be charged with failing to control their players and as such, Manchester United are nominated this week.

Individually, yet again Cristiano Ronaldo features for all the wrong reasons. He is supposedly the best player in the world. Last season maybe he was, but this season no way. His skill apart, he is nothing but a spoilt brat. He does suffer poor challenges as lesser talented players try any method to stop him, but the true greats have always contended with this and not constantly thrown their toys out of the pram. Any youngster who is being taught "Respect" for anyone, let alone a referee, should be sent out of the room when sulking, scowling Ronaldo is on the TV.

His team mate and partner in crime, Wayne Rooney, would obviously benefit form anger management classes. Then again, if Sir Alex is taking them, he is very unlikely to get any better, is he? He comes across as a thug who, if he was not such a talented footballer, would by now probably have got himself into trouble off the field. Again though, as an example to youngsters, he is sadly tainted.

Newcastle United are in a mighty mess and you might say that desperate times call for desperate measures. Well, the Taylor twins certainly believe that. Ryan was guilty of two cynical challenges and Stephen once again let his elbows and arms do the talking. With the confidence of getting away with it recently on Ronaldo, this week he tried to take an Arsenal player's head off. FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, any chance of taking action before he kills someone?

The Laws of the Game yet again appear as villains of the piece. Brad Friedel had to go under current legislation. Yes it was a penalty, but a red card as well? It was very harsh. In the Manchester City v Sunderland game, there were a few talking points. Firstly, there was the emergence of another foreigner waving imaginary cards in front of the ref as City's Bojinov was asking for an opponent to be sent off. It was pathetic and he should have been booked for that. Some might say that the cynicism of George McCartney's challenge on City's SWP was deserving of a red but not for the denial of a goal scoring opportunity as the ball was virtually in the keeper's hands. The body language of both the ref Steve Tanner and assistant Mo Matador was like a rabbit caught in the headlights and they were clearly making a decision between them based on what might happen to them if they got it wrong. Well they did anyway.

THIS WEEK'S WINNER IS:

There were many outstanding candidates this week, but the winner is Manchester United for failing to control their petulant superstars and setting a wonderful example to every youngster watching.

Why the fuck does Jeff Winter have his own site? The Soccer AM sketches off him seem quite accurate.

Wanna know what Jeff Winter is doing next week? He's the celebrity ref at Lloret De Mar, home to thousands and thousands of students for one week of crazy antics, what a fall that is.
