Sorry, but Gunn could not possibly do more at youth level to be given a chance, and he's been deliberately held back from loans to train with the first team. If he doesn't get a chance because of lacking first team experience when he's been deliberately denied that to help him come through, it's a complete farce.

Gunn should of at least had been given an opportunity in the EFL Cup but it is down to Guardiola's or any of managers judgement (as always) to be given that chance. I hope Gunn gets more of an opportunity next season once Willy goes.

Yes. I appreciate we got unlucky with draws, but Guardiola specifically mentioned Gunn's name in the summer when he said "all the keepers will need to play" when asked if Hart would get a chance to play if he stayed.
The kid has everything we want. He's a superb shot stopper, he's bloody massive, and he's been playing with his feet since he joined us and is good at it, and very familiar with the type of building from the back we are after.

It's a good motivating skill in keeping Gunn (or any of the EDS lads) on their toes. If there is any major injuries to our first or second choice then Gunn will be thrown in.

We got to keep them interested (most importantly focused) by keeping them at the club as long as possible but also we have to be realistic in giving them opportunities.We can't be throwing in the kids half prepared what I mean by is that they have to be regularly training with the first team and taking fully on board what Guardiola expects from them.

Donnarumma just get him in in the summer keep bravo for competition, release willy. Keeper sorted for the next 10 years. Like gunn but think he would have got some game time this year if pep truly rated him as a future no. 1. With willy likely to leave in the summer pep could have given gunn the nod in the minor cups.
If Gunn doesn't get chance just don't see point in having academy. Why any young player would come to City is beyond me. Champions league game against Celtic summed it up. Dead rubber match with nothing to play for and Gunn wasn't even on bench. Foden sub appearance probably PR stunt!

Assuming Pep recognizes we need to try again with the keeper, I would like to see either Kasper or Lorris brought in. I expect Kasper will be available this summer and think he would be a great long term keeper. Lorris would be harder to get and rumor is Real Madrid want him but unless Spurs finish outside the Champions League places I can't see him leaving Spurs.
Would prefer we go with someone with Prem experience rather than an outside gamble because foreign keepers almost always take a while to adjust to playing in the prem.
