PL goalscoring list.

Haaland's goalscoring is incredible but the absence of another goalscorer is also notable and problematic.

Player----App--Goals
Haaland---12----14
o.g-----------------2
Dias -------12-----1
Doku-------12-----1
O'Reilly----11-----1
Reijnders--11-----1
González---11----1
Foden-------10----1
Nunes-------10----1
Cherki-------7-----1

Doku is playing very well. Savinho is not. An option is to put Marmoush into the front 3 but perhaps Pep feels that we need the creativity to supply goals from Haaland? It's a difficult call as to whether to add a goalscorer or a creative player like Cherki.

I am not sure how we add extra goals but this seems an obvious area to work on. Cherki and Marmoush are potential solutions.

When we're up against the parked bus, I think Pep seems to want the wingers right on the touchline. Aim is to stretch the defence and hopefully open up space for the midfield to support Haaland (eg. Foden, Reijnders), but it isn't quite working. Also makes it so the wingers don't get many chances to score.

Maxime Estève is second to Haaland in our PL scorers list with his two own goals in the win over Burnley.

We need a goalscoring midfielder and at least one winger to weigh in with 10+ a season.

Foden was that midfielder a couple of seasons ago, hopefully he can find that form again and soon!

Foden had the chances at Newcastle or at least one very good chance when he passed the ball wide of the post at the end of a very good move. He also scored goals in the CL. He's the most likely of the current players to score apart from Haaland.

Foden, Cherki, Marmoush, Doku all have goals in them but are not scoring. That's a positive because it shows we have some untapped potential.

Absolutely this. If the players you mention can start chipping in with regular goals we will be a completely different animal. Foden scores that relatively easy chance against Newcastle, its a different game. Same in the games we've lost apart from maybe Villa where we were just poor.

Our way of playing currently is set to Haaland's strengths which is why he is so prolific. If he ever got injured i'm sure the goals would be more spread around.

That saying I do agree that others have to chip in more regularly. Definitely need more input from the wide players in goals and assists
