Goals you still Remember

Can't remember who it was against, but one of my most memorable City goals was when I was about 6 or in 2001 maybe 2002, Michael Tarnat hit a free-kick from about 40 yard with his left foot right in the top corner. One that lives long in my memory.

That was probably my nice 40/1 return on his free kick at Blackburn.

I can still see the Coral managers face when I picked it up. Luckily I'd seen his freekicks before.

1977 at Maine Road?

I was at that game too!

Kidd got the other one.

Rocket of a header! What a great player Dave Watson was.

This. Probably my all-time favourite City goal. Someone actually posted a video of it last year as it was never available on YouTube or anywhere else up until then. Wish I had the link as I never saved it. It wasn't YouTube as I recall but another site.

Must do a search now and will post if I find it.

And here it is in glorious (NOT) 1970's technicolour - and it is indeed YouTube:

Forget who it was against but Kidd from the halfway line springs to mind.

And, of course

Not only for the goal but the afters. It was really dangerous being a blue at the swamp and on the way home. trying to hide the smug smile of satisfaction was very difficult but essential!

Love it, i was on the very same bet. I was in the Blackburn end that night and couldnt help myself when he scored.

Paul power's equaliser against everton in the fa cup quarter final in 81. The replay at Maine road was fantastic!

Think this has been mentioned.

And there's me on the first row of the north stand with Helen. Happy days. We were shit. Happy days. Love TC throwing his mitts.

EDIT: My old man spoke to Quinn after the game. He used to go in goal in gaelic football.
