Going Out and Not Drinking

its only the english who seem to have this problem

Very true, fair enough its easier to stay on the same levels as friends but its not the be all and end all!

Its a nightmare, your mates get more and more annoying as they get more and more drunk and you begin to feel like a total outsider because your sober head doesn't connect with their drunken humour... eventually they'll start taking the piss out of you, you'll get a cob on and eventually fall out with them.
So all in all, not bad nights really.

I managed 28 days last Jan - the something big came up and I gave in before I managed the full month, but then did another couple of days without before Feb.
(Also cut out bread and potatoes)
I avoided the pub on a friday easily enough - even took a flask of coffee to the match! it was having the odd can in the house I missed. Such times as when cooking the tea on a saturday.

Didnt make much diff to my weight, but defo saved a good few £

Hate it. Did it when I was pregnant (sometimes sneaked in a pint of shandy) and it was awful.

I gave up the booze for 5 weeks in April.Going out and sticking to orange juice all night was hard.Conversations turn to complete mush the more your mates drink with you left wondering what in the hell made you be mates in the first place with such a bunch of twats.

Only did this a couple of times as it drove me nuts.
