Will never complain about the queues at th'Etihad again! over an hour to get in, including a ticket/ID check/pat down at the perimiter fence, slowest 'fast track QR scanner' IN THE WORLD to check ticket, then ANOTHER ticket/ID check/pat down to get into the stands. All in 29degC lunchtime sun. Decent game though, good atmosphere where we were, nowt from the 17 or so Chievo fans that were there!
Going to Rome v Lazio this saturday. Sat in the distinti Sud so hopefully should be able to fully appreciate the atmosphere.
Seems a long walk out of town to the ground so any tips on getting there?
Out of curiosity, did the Roma fans still sing Grazie Roma after the game? I’ve never seen them lose or draw as they did against Chievo so am keen to find out! Cheers bud.

+1 for tram. We got the metro from Termini to Flamini, then the #2 tram. It was proper busy though on the Metro, and proper packed on the tram. Set off earlier than you think too, I was aiming to get to the ground about 45-50 mins before KO but I was glad we were there earlier, mental queues. Oh and make sure you go to the right entrance at the perimeter fence, there were a mexican family in front of us the other week who queued for ~30mins only to be turned away.
As long as you can get the metro or bus or whatever to Flaminio do that and then take the #2 tram from Flaminio to Mancini (He came from Italy) and it’s a short walk over the bridge from there. That’s what was easiest for me. I usually stay around the Colosseum area.
Enjoy it! The atmosphere never disappoints on derby day
Thats what I said to the Mrs, I'm not sure what I'd rather, the queue for M1 in the pissing rain or that queue in the blistering midday sun. Thanks for the advice. Makes the queues into SSL3 sound like an absolute doddle.

How was it?
