Only player that should be there for 2012 is Milner IMO. Rooney will be the new Gazza in 2 years - washed up without the bonus of having any real talent..perfect Everton (massive club!) signing material

Wayne Rooney" the white pele"???????? fuck me, he's not even the white benjani on that showing!!!!

Well we were overhyped by a Scot (Crozier the FA Chairman or some quango position) said it was a golden generation. I think he was being Ironic!

The thing is though, England never had a hope of winning this tournament. The fact is that, if you can't keep the ball, you can't win the world cup. England have never had players technically good enough to keep the ball in my lifetime and I don't see why that should change any time soon. If the FA want to win the world cup, this issue must be addressed, until then they're pissing in the wind.

im with u brother, been saying that for along time

i think its not just about keeping the ball
England have players technically good enough but its the speed of the game at international level that finds them out

back in the premeirship the game is played at a faster speed to what they play at in the world cup giving them no chance
england try to speed the games up but dont play the same system at club level
not many teams play 442 in the league not the top 4 anyway
and that why we look like a pub team playing 442 at international level

players dont know there role's and we have 1 leftfoot midfield player playing center and have gerrard and on the left midfield
we need to settle for the premeirship way and have england playing 451
that way we have players playing there roll for club and international team

keep the same sort of players coming in for the players who are out
then they know what is asked of them in a 451 setup
never have players covering rolls like gerrard on the left never

The weaknesses at every level of the England national side have been there for all to see for years, we've been papering over the cracks season after season, and occasionally you get a glimmer (Berlin 1-5) which sets off the manic depressives thinking they are going to win the World Cup, the Ashes, Wimbledon, and you have an FA who seem to think, manager after manager, that it will be alright on the night.
