Almost there.
Anyone ever tried golf lessons, are they worthwhile? Iam worse than useless although I love the game I don't seem to improve with time, I feel I need some tuition but don't want to spend a shit load on lessons unless they are going to be beneficial. Any recommendation would be gratefully accepted..

I could do with them but they seem very pricey. They do them at the driving range near the trafford centre, £30 for half an hour

Definitely worth it, even just for a couple of months or so. Good teaching really can iron out (no pun intended) the bad habits in your swing. I used to bend my right arm too much in my backswing but I've stopped doing that now.

Still can't hit it in a straight line very often, but my swing is solid!

Even the Pro's don't hit it straight too often, they either draw or fade it.extremely hard to hit a straight shot.

Probably should have said hit it where I want it to go very often.

They are vital, why would anyone want to continually practice a bad fault?

Finding a pro that can actually teach you the swing is the hard part. Most just teach the same thing over and over from the PGA manual. A good pro will be able to adapt this teaching to give you tailored training for your current ability, future ability and rate of improvement.

The good ones cost the most but you will get better results in the long term.

Pete Barber at Didsbury is as good as any in the Northwest.

Ha ha, now I know exactly what you mean ...

If you play golf they are essential, otherwise you'll just keep on doing the same things wrong and never improving, which is pointless
