On quite a few occasions tonight he didnt, was very negative and only changed a bit after GTG gave him what for.

Couldn't get to the game, my son plays for County and trains on a Wednesday. my wife went instead. Sat in the car to listen, absolutely incensed by by Gleghorn and had to change to 103.
I have sent an email to the BBC about him.

I don't mind him to be honest. He's honest when it comes to his opinion on City. I'm sure if we all had that job people wouldn't like what we said.

Although I did chuckle when Gordon rang him if i'm honest.

I do like Ian Cheeseman though.

The most annoying thing about him is how he always goes on about his eufe licence as if it makes him see thing differently to us, i've been sat there watching a shite game ever fan knows its shite even his co commentator will say its boring but he will say " actually after doing my uefa licence i can see the tactics at play here and i am really ejoying seeing the 2 teams its like a chess match " no nigel a shit game is a shit game whaatever course you have been on

He's a bit dour and bit repetetive but I listened last night on the way home and he called it absolutely right in the main.

I heard that dick ring up saying "You're a disgrace" and all that. Cringeworthy.

I've heard this sort of stuff said about Fred Eyre as well. Even more than Gleghorn, Eyre knows the game and always calls it right.

i was on his college course, he knows his stuff hes very opinianated, i dont agree with alot of what he says but to his credit he always backs an argument up from both sides and he really does know his football, hes had management jobs offred to him but he refuses.

He's pretty damn patient with some of the clueless callers, too.

Last night some lad rings up. "We should never have got rid of Hughes"

Gleghorn says "Fair enough. What do you think Hughes would have done differently tonight?"

Caller, all indignant, "We just shouldn't have got rid of him"

Glaghorn "I understand your point mate. So do you think City would have won under Hughes?"

Caller "Don't know"

Glaghorn "Well you're saying that it was a mistake to sack Hughes. Don't you have an opinion on tonight's game and whether it would have been different under hughes"

Caller "No".

He has the patience of a saint dealing with some of those callers. I'd have told him to come back when he's grown a brain cell.

Didsbury Dave, It was his negative comments about Mancini before the game that pissed me off
therefore i didn't listen to the commentary.
