Fair play. I'm sure some fucker will be along to say something along the lines of 'not before time' or 'if they can do it for the Arsenal game, they can do it for every game' etc, etc.

Isn't there still a pot of cash the premier league give out each year to every club to fund travel and cheep tickets for one game each season?
I suspect that's the short fall will come from this rather then the clubs pocket.

Just had a google and it's called the premier league away fans fund, worth 200k per season to each club to spend on giving away fans a better deal be it there own fans going away ie cheaper tickets / free travel
But can also be used for away fans coming to your own ground

yippee, we are going to pay about 3 quid less than what every category b side pays to go to Arsenal. Only in this country could a complete rip off be dressed up as some kind of deal. Having said that, it's a sight better than the criminal 64 quid that we could be charged.

This isn't a club gesture. The PL give all clubs money each year to help with reducing the price of away tickets.
