Good Morning Fellow Blues, How Are You Feeling?

Just leaving Kings Cross after a full English in a nice London hotel. Spent half an hour in bed this morning passive aggressively expressing “sympathy” for angry United fans on various Facebook groups, telling them that they chose United for a lifetime glory and we took it away. They really hate that because it’s true.

Home at 2, barbecue this afternoon after watching the whole thing again.

My takeaway memories: Grealish walking around the city end encouraging us all while we serenaded him. A Great Wall of noise coming from the City end for most of the game. The players, having finished hugging each other, running over to our end together while we roared. “You’re fucking shit” when the United team went up for their losers medals. Great celebrations in the beer garden of a Wembley pub in the sun. My mate falling asleep in the hotel bar at 11. Just getting back to the room and getting room service which arrived just in time for the highlights.

One of the great days.

Knackered, sore throat, but still buzzing. Never getting a coach to Wembley again though.

Drained but happy. Long day it was, up at 4am, a walk to Navigation road to get the first tram of the day to Trafford bar, tram to East Didsbury then that long coach journey to Wembley and back. I'm with you I'd never voluntarily get a coach again but unfortunately yesterday there was no option, well unless I flew at £350 or travelled up Thursday and stayed until Monday due to the train strikes. The last time was the Spurs replay in 1981 and I was shocked the coaches hadn't improved at all. I guess it's fairly cheap at £50 considering my Uber back from East Didsbury to Altrincham was £20, but it's cheap for a reason. I'm just grateful I had two seats to myself and even then space was tight and no I'm not a fat bastard lol.

Hard to believe we've won the double again, could yet be a treble and that's just sinking in. Yesterday was emotionally draining because it was the hated rags and it would have been unbearable to lose to them. I think without their stuffy penalty it would have been a comfortable win but that made it more tense. We had chances to finish them off but sadly missed them.
