Manchester city centre has drinking/entertainment hotspots named the Printworks , and Deansgate Locks area , which have bars galore , amongst other attractions , but as i don't really get into town all that much these days many other places could have sprung up too.

There's also the Northern quarter which appear to have quite a few bars too.

We also have a thrivin' , extremely busy area called the 'Gay Village' , cram packed with bars/restaurants , but i don't suppose you'll be all that interested in that ...... yet there are loads of 'real' girls there to be found there too!

Unless its a Monday... Few footballers usually in Sugar Lounge after a game, so probably best you stay away from there too!

From what it sounds like you're after i'd give another vote to Northern Quarter.

northern quarter is bar based, you wont be discoing round there. i like it but it's proper chin strokey and quite expensive.
if you're after a mega party vibe, sankeys is the place really. bangin tunez and all that.
