Goodbye Martin Petrov (videos)

Yeh but he couldnt tackle. What good is a player who leaves the defence exposed? 10 behind the ball is simply not enough, we need all eleven especially in games against the likes of Pompey and Bolton.

of course he did great things against bigger better opponents, I know it was only scunthorpe, but, that left foot drive into the top corner for the first... and the round-the-corner pass where he looked completely the other way...

Some good passes from Ireland, Robbie and Petrov in that Video.

Quality footballer with a sweet cross and rocket of a shot. Will always remember when he ripped the rags to shreds and we did them on their special day at the swamp, his delivery was so good that even Benjani couldn't fuck it up

Would have liked to have kept him for another season myself, but onwards and upwards and all the best to him. Miserable **** or not he did the business on the pitch and that's all that matters

At times you were unplayable and on some occasions I thought you were the only one on the pitch who knew what needed to be done.
I see it today in the WC. Effing and farting about when what is needed is someone who knows where the goal is and the determination to get the ball in it.

Good luck with Bolton

Watch him hand the rags the title on last day of the season....

The rags? The title? Dont you mean the last Europa qualifying place. The one they can't have because they're in administration?

good player and gave us some good service...real shame about the injuries

I cannt understand why someone like the likes of birmingham or everton didnt come in for him....maybe he is settled in the north west (though everton wouldnt have been too far to go).....but bolton!!!!

on another note, watching the highlights of the scunthope game.....the second goal scored by Ned...who sets it up..Ireland.....we dont have a player in our squad (other than robinho) with the vision to prduce that kind of pass......this is why it would be a huge mistake to let the lad go....he is a type of player that there arent many like....he may not be a midfield dynamo like gerrard etc but he can do little things like that that can change a game, he can unlock a defence when teams are itting 10 men behind the ball....
