I read this post from a gooner just now over on Sad Cafe:

Our biggest chance is the cup, really.

I just think Liverpool might fall short by a few points. Chelsea are still favourites and City have a hard run-in so they might drop to 4th.

I was a bit shocked because I have been so focused on whether we will win it, or come 2nd to Chelsea. I hadn't even considered the possibility that we might drop down the table.

What's your thoughts on this? Is it conceivable we could finish 4th? What would be the ramifications if we did? Should there be any?

Most Gooners are deluded and full of shit mate, maybe this one doesn't realise we have those games in hand?

The Arsenal fan is a sycophantic nob. I have read his posts before. He's playing to the gallery.

We could finish 4th. However, it is the least likely scenario. He makes it sound like it is the most likely.

There are fans of every club who overestimate their team and underestimate other teams.

I know Blues who still aren't taking Liverpool seriously for the title even though they have an easier run-in than us and they have a home game against us.

Pige, yesterday, said he reckons we'll win the league at Goodison, discounting both Liverpool and Chelsea's easier run-ins than ours and the fact we'd have played a game less than both of them by the end of that game.

Arsenal fans can be absolutely deluded though, so i wouldn't worry about that comment on us finishing fourth.

I'm not taking Liverpool seriously for the title at all. In fact I've bet money they won't even be within 6 points of the top two after 38 games.

We all have tough games, Arsenal have us and Chelsea, will they get 6 points from them, I doubt it, Liverpool also have the same two games, I doubt they will get 6 points either, we can afford to drop some points I don't think any other team can.

Liverpool are the dark horse I had kind of dismissed and forgotten about. They are unbeaten in 13 and have a much easier run in.

Fascinating watching all this unfold over the next few weeks. Almost as exciting as seeing if KK can keep us up.
