The German rags are a vile, bitter club. However, other German clubs must be wise to them by now, any top prospect at your club they’re sniffing around needs his contract renewed before getting to less than two years remaining.
If they don’t want to renew then offer him to any big club elsewhere in Europe willing to pay a reasonable transfer fee. It would send a big fuck you message and stop the arrogant ****s in their tracks. And if the player won’t play ball remind him 2 years is a long time spent training on your own. Simple.
Other clubs do the same that Bayern does. Uth from Hoffenheim, there topscorer in the first half of the season, was announced as free transfer to Schalke only some days before Goretzka's to Bayern. You have to renew the contracts of the "interesting" players a lot prior to the last season when their contract runs out. Only the older players or players from the second row have contracts that run out 2018 or 2019.
Didn't Arsenal get Kolasinac for free from Schalke last season?
The special about Bayern is that you can win trophies and stay in home ground - or well known ground - where you always have international recognition as you always participate in the CL (and not just in the group stages). It is often an easier way to get into the national team or even be a starter there - look at Kimmich who got his first starts at the Euros because he was familiar with the playing style of the others - especially Müller as the right winger in front of him and Boateng as centre forward as next partner in the backline. At that time Kimmich was not a starter at Bayern.
