Got a Ford Fiesta be careful

Removing the rotor arm used to be a quick and easy way of immobilising a car, but can you still do this with modern engines?
Hah, done that before. You can't do jack shit with modern cars these days. Want to change a side light in a modern car- that will be £100 at your local local dealership. Fuckers

an easy to steal Ford? How novel.

Their security was always shit. Escort Cosworths were virtually uninsurable for the same reason. XR2's and 3's went walkabout and even my Dads mk3 Cortina estate could be entered using an ice lolly stick. Really. Just put it in the doorlock - twist then pull out. Bite off the bits which had indentations and bingo you were in. Never tried the ignition as I was shit scared of jamming the barrel full of wood lol

Just turn off the keyless entry in the MMI. How hard is it having to push a button to open the doors ?

Not sure what its like on other cars but you have been able to turn it off on Audis since at least 2016.

All the carry on with "Faraday pouches", just stick your keys in a metal tin or put them inside the microwave oven. The only issue is the the battery in the key will drain much faster as it will initially try to increase the power level to communicate with the car.

The very latest keyless system detect if the key is stationary. If it is then the key stops transmitting, so there is no signal for the scrotes to amplify.

An even better option, instead of people filling their garages full of crap, put the car in it at nighttime. People might find its also is much more pleasant on a cold winter morning. After all its likely to be the second largest purchase that people make, second only to buying a house.

Or instead, go back to Inserting a Key and turning it to start the car. An added bonus is that you can never lose the key when driving, it's always exactly where you inserted it.
