got my new

timmy...my mates selling one of them (same colour) private sale £7k and its the 250bhp version...its a twat to start up with the rotary engine and is prone to fuel flooding on start up

as for torque steer, i have driven some stupidly torque steering cars in the past

the r5 turbo was the worse, then the fiat uno turbo, the ford RS focus was a twat too, and probably the worse of the modern cars is the astra vxr, that cant get the power down

however, there is next to no torque steer at all with the golf....i went out in a stage 3 tuned (385bhp) golf yesterday at the garage where they did my motor (<a class="postlink" href="http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" target="_blank">http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk</a>) and they had put a LSD on that to stop the torque...he reckons the golf standard set up is good for getting around 300bhp down without torque steer

i went out in this car yesterday >> <a class="postlink" href="http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/projectcars.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" target="_blank">http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/projectcars.html</a> then scroll down to second car (the apr tuned golf gti)

Nice golf that chap - must be fast as fook!! Not really noticed much torque steer with the RX8 - whether thats because its rear wheel drive I'm not sure (not that up on car knowledge!!). Been really impressed with it so far though - its had the PCU update to minimise the risk of flooding, plus as long as you dont stop and start the engine, it should generally be ok. And it handles so well. Just a shame its not as fuel efficent!!!
