Goverment to insist clubs give 25% to fans!

I can't understand why everyone is so against this, if any thing it seems to me like a positive move which would help with returning football back to the average match going fan rather than the TV companies that currently call the shots.

The German model is as far as I can tell the best run league in the world. A genuinely competitive competitive league that has the lowest ticket prices of any major league. Of course German clubs aren't currently dominating Europe but they are beginning to grow stronger and a starting to bring through a lot of their own young players etc. It is a very sustainable and supporter friendly system which could in the long run see the Bundesliga become Europe's strongest league as it is not as dependent on fluctuating television markets or debt fuelled spending.

Interesting this. Personally I'd be in favour as we are the only people who really care about our clubs' futures.

However, after my post about the new stadium and talking about there being two plans, I've had a couple of pm's from people that have helped explain some of the things going on, particularly how they could fill a potential 100,000 seater stadium at higher prices than a 70,000 seater and also the Chairman's comments about the Premier League becoming more like the American model.

It might also explain Ian Watmore's departure from the FA and why the Glazers won't sell to the Red Knights.

The information was confidential but I'm trying to persuade them to go public. It confirms how influential our owner(s) have become in the game but is also potentially very controversial.

Reading between the lines you appear to be referring either to the premier league splitting off as a franchise system like the NFL, thereby removing the promotion / relegation aspect or to plans for a European Super League along similar lines.

until they repeal the Taylor Report and parts of The Football Act they aren't doing anything for football fans, what's the point of them acting like they even care?

Funny how the government suddenly wants to save football for the fans when they've had 13 years and done sweet FA (no pun intended) about it.

Is there an election due
