Grammar alert: of/off, to/too

I hate when someone is asking for something from a shop/cafe etc and they start off by saying "Can I get....." Also people who constantly speak using rising inflections at the end of their sentences. It's infuriating.

The latest affectation is 'Vocal Fry'. The funny growling towards the end of speech patterns by American women.

The word Super.

It's super hot.
It's super cold.
I was super excited.

What happened to the word 'Very'? Or just it's hot...?

Some twat on the tv the other day used the word "funist".

Cunts. Everywhere.
Spot on!

A lot of posters use 'them' instead of 'those

"I used to like them vanilla slices"

It should be 'those vanilla slices'

:)

In Support of Super

Soup for supper is Super!
'cept for Skippers...
For whom, scallops...
With bread.

Sup on soup?
Or scallops?
Or some other fare?

Far better soup,
For supper,
Than sans supper instead.

So...
What's wrong with Super?

Super is...
Duper...
Is...
Califragilistic!

And supper... is Super...
And all of us...
Well fed.

Some folk start a statement with "To be honest..." - which is clearly a sure-fire sign that untruths are about to be uttered.

One of the unsavoury youths that loiters around the eldest This! step daughter says "I'm not gonna lie..." before everything he says. On almost every occasion a tirade of lies ensues.
