No you're right, we did indeed win the League cup. The reason we didn't hear about it is because the wrong team won. If Sunderland were to have held their lead we would have been reminded of the fact. The problem with magazine programmes like of Granada Reports is that they are part of the larger broadcasting media enterprise who only consider the likes of the rags worthy of positive television coverage.
Before the anti-propaganda brigade start having a go at me; remember that many of the producers of these broadcasting media outlets are blinded by nostalgia where they still regard the top 4 as Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and the Stretford red socks.
