Grand National

The way I have always done it was go for the winner of the Irish National the year before to win this years English. So the horse I will be putting my money on is Niche Market @ 16/1. Bobbyjo , Papillon and Numbersixvalverde have done it over the years at decent prices. Also avoid McCoy horse in the race bound to fall during the race.

APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE - THIS IS LONG
Madison du Berlais heads 65 entries for Saturday's Grand National at Aintree after 10 horses were withdrawn.
Those out include previous joint top-weight Notre Pere, the Willie Mullins trio of Deutschland, Dooneys Gate and Equus Maximus, plus Razor Royale.
The other five withdrawals are Air Force One, Chelsea Harbour, Lennon, Anothercoppercoast and Cossack Dancer.
The Package and Hello Bud are among those guaranteed a run, with a maximum of 40 set to line up at 1615 BST.
At the bottom of the handicap there are five horses currently on 10st 5lb, but official British Horseracing Authority ratings mean the two that would currently make the final field are Flintoff (138) and Abbeybraney (137).
Whinstone Boy and Chief Dan George are among fancies who still need horses to drop out to make the cut for the Aintree spectacular, a four-and-a-half mile marathon over unique giant obstacles which last year produced a 100-1 winner in Mon Mome.
The Venetia Williams-trained 10-year-old is back to defend his crown, albeit with a significantly higher weight of 11st 7lbs, just three pounds beneath Madison du Berlais, who is set to be ridden by Tom Scudamore for trainer David Pipe.
Pipe was the trainer of 2008 winner Comply or Die, back for another crack this time, while Pablo du Charmil, Piraya and The Package also make the journey from the same Somerset stables.
Timmy Murphy rode Comply or Die at a schooling session on Monday but he has not decided whether to stick with the horse that gave him a memorable win two years ago, or switch to The Package, a fast-finishing runner-up in the William Hill Trophy Chase at Cheltenham last month.
Pipe said: "We are awaiting Timmy's decision and Graham will ride the other one. It's a tough one. I presume he will leave it as late as possible. He'll let DJ [owner David Johnson] and myself know when the time is right. Graham has won the Grand National (on Amberleigh House, 2004) so he knows his way around.
"Madison is also in the Bowl on Thursday which he won last year. We will wait and see if Imperial Commander runs. He's also in the Scottish National. Those are his three options.
"The horses have schooled well, they seem in good form. Like every trainer it's just a case of keeping them ticking over until Saturday."
John Quinn's Character Building will be carrying new colours on Saturday after being purchased by David and Patricia Thompson, the owners of Cheveley Park Stud.

Big Fella Thanks is the current ante-post favourite for the marathon chase
The couple have already tasted Aintree glory, having bought Party Politics just days before his triumph in the election year of 1992.
Amateur jockey Jamie Codd had been in line for the ride, but the new owners have requested a professional takes the mount, although there has been no decision on that score as yet.
Chris Richardson, Cheveley Park Stud's managing director, said: "Mrs Thompson will be speaking with the trainer and no doubt more will come to light from Tuesday.
"I don't think the horse would want the ground to be heavy but, from what I understand, it's just on the soft side of good at the moment and shouldn't get any worse, so that should be fine."
Connections of Backstage would love to see drying ground at Aintree this week. Part-owner Tim Palin said: "We have booked Davy Condon to ride, and we are pleased to get him.
"He wants good or good to soft ground so we are hoping for a drying week, although we would run if it was soft. But if it was heavy, we would give it a miss and have a look at the Bet365 Gold Cup. He can't jump out of that heavy ground.
The best-fancied of Nigel Twiston-Davies's six runners is Irish Raptor, while his 17-year-old son Sam, an amateur jockey, has received special dispensation to get the ride on Hello Bud.
"All six are on target. They've all had a trouble-free run, thank goodness," said Twiston-Davies.
Big Fella Thanks heads the market at around 15-2 with Black Apalachi and last year's winner Mon Mome both at 12-1.
Should the favourite win he will be giving Ruby Walsh a third triumph in the race and champion trainer Paul Nicholls his first.
Latest odds as of 1400 BST (Totesport:) 15-2 Big Fella Thanks, 12-1 Black Apalachi, Mon Mome, 14-1 The Package, 16-1 Tricky Trickster, 20-1 Backstage, Character Building, State Of Play, Vic Venturi, 22-1 Whinstone Boy, 25-1 Can't Buy Time, Don't Push It, 28-1, Ballyholland, Chief Dan George, Comply Or Die, Maljimar, 33-1 bar.
