Grand Theft Auto 5

I've never completed a GTA game. Maybe its just me, but I find the problem with games like that, is you can have so much stuff to do, it becomes too much, and it kind of swamps you. Its probably because I'm a perfectionist and always try to do everything, and get everything rather than just follow the story line. It can become a bit boring and repetitive.
Complete opposite to what I do. I do the story first, then go round and do the rest afterwards when I've got access to everything. Gives the game more longevity, imo, as I play for fun more by doing the story then going on for a minigame or just for a drive. With IV for example, I left all the cop missions and random encounters to be played after I found out what happened with Nico.

-- Fri Nov 09, 2012 4:20 am --

I do love how you paraphrased me there...was looking back through the thread thinking "I don't write like that...".

When is the game due out for release?

I would say around Easter
Christmas will be out of the way and there wont be any other "AAA" games coming out at that time. GTA IV was released at the same time in 2008
well apart from bioshock, splinter cell, tomb raider and crysis. It is the only AAA game of spring next year.

I dont play many computer games these days but i already know that i will 100% be addicted to this. I fucking love GTA

Aye, Rockstar confirmed spring but no specific date.

That Trevor hillbilly bloke sounds like a complete psychopath haha
I find it really interesting that they say you can switch characters at almost any moment and when you do, all three characters are going about their daily life's... so you could find them in some surprising situations when switching. I don't think that's been done in any game before has it?

I have a very bad feeling about the pricing of this game

it wouldnt suprise me if it was about £70.

Listed on Amazon at £44.99 at the moment, but I expect it come down by the time it is released. I think Rockstar are normally quite decent when it comes to pricing, especially when you think about the longevity of the gameplay where as Activision have been one of the worst. They have made some good games, but besides the repitive multiplayer experience they just don't last anywhere near as they should for games priced at the top of the price scale and then some. A conservative estimate for the price of GTA IV would be £35-40 mark, I pre-ordered Hitman last weak and it has dropped about a fiver to the price listed today, also If you do pre-order games and they drop before release they give you the difference back. I don't know why you would get the idea that they would be charging £70 though as they are almost guaranteed to break sales records so they have really no need for such a high pricing strategy, if anything it would be counter-productive and unless the game includes hardware or it is a special package edition £50 is normally the absolute ceiling you can charge.
