Yes mate u sure do :) another way to make money is by finding some nice cars robbing them and taking the to LSC (Los Santos Customs) to sell. Got 10k for 1 car and I found it just round the corner from LSC. Gunna be back on this tomorrow build up my money and buy a house & Garage.

as long as you have played online during october and you do the up and coming download you will get it.
you will get the money with the update, there a will be two updates with each of 250k.

there is an update today, still no money though
 
Starting playing the online bit last night at 8pm, pretty decent alright, until you realise it's 5 in the morning and you've got to be up for 8 to bring the child to school, had to stop myself from running over the lollipop lady on the way.
 
Just about to go online if anyone's about. Done the update as well and I've still got no money.

Got a right bollocking last night at 1am. I had been playing since 5pm for 8 hours solid! She was not happy!!!

Just been online to try this crew thing out.

Went on and there was 4 of you on. Then you all fecked off and left me getting murdered a million times by some prick called Carlos.
 
First time online last night,robbed a few stores, done a few motorbike races with only 3/4 people in them kept finishing 2nd/3rd earning between 2/4 grand a race done a repo mission brought a garage killed a prossie then went to bed.
