Grealish left out of the CWC squad (pg34)

Did anyone catch what Pep said about why Grealish wasn't in the squad today? He was just interviewed on Sky but I couldn't catch it

Probably just his turn to not make the bench. Lewis and Echeverri weren’t in the Bournemouth squad and they’re in today
 
When Jack came back from injury and played in the middle I thought he would make that position his. Had a decent game and thought Pep said positive things. Not sure he started a game at least in the middle since. With Phil, Bernie and Kev all having off patches this season got to wonder what Jack did to not get more games. Unless he’s been dealing with injuries Seems like we’ve wasted a talent to me.
 
That slams the door for him, we might get a decent sum but nowhere near what we paid, he obviously let his party lifestyle get in the way of commitment, but for a few months two seasons ago.
 
I think he was fun but never got into the City way of playing, if Pep is serious about reducing the first team squad, Jack is probably the one player who would fill the coffers best, albeit at a loss.
 
lets be honest if he stays it will be miserable for him. also for squad harmony, nobody should be 2nd highest earner and be a regular bench player. others busting a gut each week or every 3 days on half the salary...
its just bad...

Feeble minded internet blues bought into the jealousy driven campaign to paint Jack’s City career in a negative light very early on.

Match going blues overwhelmingly didn’t.

I’d rather he goes to Spurs. There’s still a good player there and him going to Newcastle could be doing them a favor we shouldn’t. A midfield with Bruno G, Tonali and Grealish would be pretty class.
