Grealish left out of the CWC squad (pg34)

He will have a bee in his bonnet this season when his out put has been no worse than the shite who got repeated minutes.

The only year Jack’s league input has been better than Savio’s debut season, or either of Doku’s seasons, was the treble season (and that was only marginally better). And those two have the excuse of being young and clearly developing.

I just don’t see a place in a top football team for a winger who can’t score, can’t assist and looks incredibly unlikely to get better at those things now.

I feel for him with his reported off-field issues but have completely run out of interest in defending him as a footballer.

Don't like the idea of the media doing their best to keep Jack on their side, it's all going to be one way all City's and Pep's fault, if or when he leaves, Jack should know Pep gave him so many chances and he blew it with the lifestyle

somewhere in there, we know he is a world-class player

tbf as the club and Pep are quite cagey when asked and our press are twats for rumours and gossip about England players, it wpuld be best if the whole is je wanted/staying was just put to bed and it clearly said he is up for sale or part of the future.

It is a problem our sports media have with English talent the need to mither them.

The pressure has clearly got to him of dicks like O'Hara spouting shite and internet gimps slagging him off

The narrative Pep has ruined him is now coming from the ones who have been saying Grealish needs to perform better its comical. I'm sorry but a system or a way of playing does not make you into a bad player especially those who cost 100million. Hes not been good enough last couple of seasons and hes not been short of chances either. Madrid away and FA cup semi final this season got the nod in both.

Not sure hes ever been a world class player. A good player with great ball control and ideal to bring on as a closer when you want to keep ball and run the clock down. Would like to have seen him central to see if he could offer more. Wonderful human being though.

I know people on here will think differently, but banning people outright really is the ultimate last resort. Ric really isn't a fan of it, he's reluctant to go down the RAWK route of putting awkward cunts up against the wall and shooting them. Since I've been a mod, I seriously doubt I've totally banned (from the whole forum) a dozen people. If we were really strict, we'd ban more than that on a saturday afternoon in the match threads. Threadbans are a better tool. That being said, you've come perilously close to being kicked off a few times.

;-)
Blimey, felt like I was being peppered by shotgun slugs with all the perma bans I've had off 2 or 3 former mods over the years, Jim. If it wasn't for standing my ground with Ric in PM's I'd still be banned. Since those mod haters (lol) stepped down or got flirted BM has become more tolerant of other bad boy posters and myself and it's calmed me down somewhat since. Probably too much as I was more fun in a risqué way a few years back: )

Iike your the softly softly approach by mods nowadays. @Mad Eyed Screamer and yourself I have no problem with. I've met Phill twice and he's game for a laugh so all is good I think.

He is going to go nuclear when he leaves.

He can dress his season up all he wants with stats to suit his narrative but at the end of the day he has been poor for 2 seasons, went over a year without a goal and it's evident as day that I think his lack of professionalism has rumbled Pep after the treble.

If he was a foreign player he would be getting slaughtered but because he is Jack the lad, one of us, loves a pint and a rave, some in this country make out as if we and Pep have ruined the second coming of George Best.

Ibrahimovic has called pep out continually about him and Pep has said a bad word about him!

So if Grealish comes out moaning at pep pep will say nothing what was going on with Grealish

those who blame others will never improve, if jack blames his drop off in form on the club despite having the best players around him and the best facilities he may as well just pack it in now

I don’t think Jack will say anything bad about Pep or the club. He may say something about feeling he should have played more, which is fair enough and not a negative, but I don’t think he will want to ruin his relationship with the club. He doesn’t seem the type to be a dick in that respect.

Sure, the media will try and coax it out of him and put words in his mouth, but I think and hope he will be better than falling for that.

Suspect it's more to do he's in and out of the squad injured. The price-tag is just noise for tabloids but it seems like he's never fit for a sustained period.

I can't, and won't, speak for other mods past or present. We are all responsible for our own actions. If someone has seriously stepped over the line, then they'll be sent packing. But I won't ban posters on a whim. Though I'm sorely tempted at times! As I said earlier, I've totally banned precious few on here. And I'd guess that at least half of them were fans of other clubs who came on here to WUM. I don't know; maybe the bar is set too high? As for Screamer, I met him a few years ago at a game. He's a sound fella, it's just a shame he's got godawful taste in music.

Typical cryarse, just like the Villa fans. Must be a Brummy thing.

Villa fans are amongst the most bitter I have seen in the league. Especially when we are part of the narrative.

Collymore is the epitome of this.

They see themselves as one the England elite, and maybe they have some credence in that with what they have won.

However, 6 out of 7 of their league titles were won before 1910, most of them in the Victorian era when you can argue the validity of the professional status of the game back then. Also, all of their FA Cups were won before 1958.

The game is massively different in regards to professional and quality status pre and post world wars.

Fair enough, Jim. I won't name the other mods as I made a pact with Ric to to apologise for antagonising them online with my piss taking sardonic humour that wound them up no end. I bear no grudges to them or anyone else I've argued with over the years. I don't tend to argue nowadays if I can help it unless it's in jest. But some on here can't decipher banter but most I have banter with can.

Screamer is a top guy both on here and in person. Gives as good as he gets without losing it and I like him for that.

I know this post is a joking one.

But I honestly feel he could have been our George Best on the pitch as well as off it.

If only he had that self belief that he had in his own abilities he would have a KDB like career with us.

I wish him the best. He comes across as a lad who's got too much and doesn't know what to do with it. Visiting old man's clubs to go on the piss says to me that's his safe space as us old cunts would leave him be to get pissed in peace.

Curious some here think Jack's going to put everything out there when he leaves and will go Zlatan-mode all of a sudden. It's funny honestly.

He'll probably consider it when he's wrapped up in the emotion of leaving on not the best of terms, but he'd do well to realize that he's not taken his chances despite not being managed perfectly.
