You'd think that playing in the WCC for a 100 million quid is a good thing of course but why make it plainly obvious to everyone that not a fuck was given about a player that cost the same amount.

Is there no form of damage limitation here? Are we not underselling him to recoup some of the money spent? reading this thread it genuinely looks like we are going to pay a club to take him off our hands.

I think piecing together what we know it’s fair to assume pep has completely lost any trust with jack and just wants him away from the group.

Similar to Walker (what happened there will come out one day), cancelo and now grealish.

I can’t help but feel Bernardo’s comments last season too were aimed at jack, walker etc. you know who to count on etc.

Whatever has happened it’s obvious pep sees jack as a bad influence on the group and just wants him gone.

It's a bit bonkers though, actually discarding something that costs that much money in every other industry would be cataclysmic for the people looking after that asset.

Now I am not saying none of this is Jacks fault or even that the fragmented news we have based on rumour is correct but it's a bit fucking odd :)

Buying clubs aren’t daft (apart from the rags maybe).

They all know we desperately want rid so they’re all going to leave it to the 11th hour in the hope they can get him for a knock down price.

He’s not a massively in demand asset so unfortunately we don’t really hold the cards on this one.

I can see it being a deadline day thing if/when he goes.

Do you think other clubs read BM to get an idea of what they'd have to pay?

Perhaps he's not gone because he's already in talks with another club? He is or was in Barcelona according to another poster in the last few days. Maybe on his jollies, maybe not.

Hardly any because we keep most for too long or they give us everything they can in the time they're with us.
I am thinking about KDB at Naples... could be a really nice addition to the team for them, if KDB is used well, for the next 2 or 3 years... although I am not quite sure whether he and Conte will get along well.

I hope Conte can fit him in and make it work. If you can't find a way to make Kevin de Bruyne work in your team, you might not be that great of a manager anyway!

It's odd indeed but I guess we don't know some important pieces of the puzzle. Pep and club bosses are top professionals. I'm not sure I can say the same about Jack... 4 months of good form in 4 years: this goes some way in explaining what's happening.
