he`s likeable & his character traits can be important for team chemistry but at the time of the transfer i thought
our management valued marketing effects more than in the past..didn`t watch him at Villa or national team & thought the fee/wages were bonkers for his age/CV but the uk experts told me/us he has the skill-set to replace KDB (or come close)...yeah...many "uk stars" from the PL are simply overrated/overpriced/overhyped...developing academy players to fullfil HG-quota is much cheaper
 
By far the worst recruitment in the history of the club. At the moment, it is also the club's biggest transfer problem, it is hard to find a fool in the world of football who will buy him?

Why isn't it simpler? We will give him for 25 million just to take his salary off the club's burden.

It’s too big to be our squad in August. 27 there and 3 too many non homegrown, plus Kovacic and maybe a new right back. So at least 4 will need to go either sold or loaned to get down to 17 non homegrown and a squad around 24/25 in addition to Grealish ,Walker , McAtee and Phillips. Maybe this completion will, help the club decide which 4.

I’m not being a dick but genuinely can’t get my head around him not being hot property if he’s as good as most City fans think. Fee will be more than affordable for any top club and his wages are going rate for world class difference makers.

Plus he’s homegrown so why no English clubs knocking down our doors to make it happen?
