Must be a very young average age in that squad. Barely a player above 30. Did anyone make the calculation by any chance?
 
I wonder where he will end up. Surely this is the biggest sign yet that Pep doesn't want him. Sad really, seems like a really nice lad and on his day he made a good contribution.

I can’t help but feel Bernardo’s comments last season too were aimed at jack, walker etc. you know who to count on etc.

Whatever has happened it’s obvious pep sees jack as a bad influence on the group and just wants him gone.

It is not obvious in the slightest.

There could be a whole range of reasons, from Jack asking for time, a move away being in discussion and not worth compromising, illness, family matters, all sorts.

We don't know what the reason is. If he is indeed being 'frozen out' I think that is harsh and undeserves, but we don't really know anything.

Not that young actually, 3 keepers, stones, ake, gundo, bernardo all over 30. Akanji 29. Rodri and Dias both 28, reijnders 26, soon to be 27.

Average will be about 25.5 as a rough guesstimate.

We don't need to know the reason. The fact is that Jack wasn't deemed good enough by Pep for anything but a rare 1st team start at a time when the team was struggling. The squad now seems to have been strengthened massively - since January - and Jack realises that there's no way back for him + no way way on earth he could get back into the team in his favoured, central position. At his age, moving on is the right thing for his career.

It just hasn't quite worked out as we all hoped, and as with Kyle Walker, it's time to move on. I wish him every success and thank him for some great effort, strong performances, and great contribution overall, particularly in the treble season.
 
Says a great deal that no one wants to buy him. Players are powerless when it comes to how much they’re sold for but that release clause hasn’t helped the expectations.

Memory plays tricks, but it seems to me he's been out of favour since we won the CL and he went on the piss for a few weeks. Can't remember if it was an interview, but he also expressed the feeling that he'd done it all iirc and pep would hate that indication of complacency.
No judgement from me - worth the money just for his contribution to the treble. Just sad it seems to have not worked out beyond that. I imagine it's not a case of clubs not wanting him, but rather a hefty fee and wage bill for a player that is possibly on the way down rather than up putting them off.

How do you know that no one wants to buy him? We've only had a 10 day mini window so far, there's a circa 3 month one starting shortly.
 
Maybe Jack has a lot on his plate at the moment and Pep left him out for a reason other than football and that City wants to sell him, We don't know what is happening in Jack's life at the moment, all we can say is the playing time he's had this season was poor and limited.

Yes, we have seen bits in the media and Jack's lifestyle popping up and out on the lash, but also he's had a big change in his life, having a baby. Since the birth of Jack's baby, he's not been the player we all know. also injury and being out of the team did not help

Look, Jack is a great player, the treble season was his best season at City, who wouldn't party and celebrate long and hard after that moment?

I just find it a puzzle for a player of Jack's quality to fall off the cliff so quickly, maybe mental health and drink problems, or family matters? I just find it strange that it's come to this. City and Pep would have cut anybody else off and moved them out quickly if it were just down to a lifestyle and not training properly

Come on Jack, prove us all wrong and the shut the doubters up WE WANT THE JACK GREALISH SMILE BACK IN A CITY SHIRT

I think Peps looking to change the way we play it’s not as personal as people think. There’s players that are absolute nailed on for a place & then the next season they become the support group. It’s tough for those players when it happens they are doing the same thing but maybe teams have figured it out so a change is needed.

Sane & Sterling lost game time when teams defended deeper.
Phil & Mahrez then used to dribble & find spaces.
Jack & Bernie to draw defenders for overload…..
