Jack is an enigma that's for sure. He's got a heart of gold, so caring, and everyone at the club seems to absolutely love him.. On the pitch he's seems to be of little use to us. His rumoured drinking levels during a season are just that I know. The post season drinking is of course fair game. But with absences during the season not always explained or called niggles by Pep, plus the CWC ommision, it looks like we're trying to let him down gently to find another club. I feel bad for Jack, he was obviously hurt by ommision. He's been showing his fitness post season on insta but can't help think he's a fitness freak that can mix the bottle (impressive from someone that can only do one of those activities), and I don't think elite sportsmen can do that. I thought him being a new dad might drive him in the right direction, but I think the club have handle this extremely well and kept it as private as possible. As a final thought, I wish Jack the very best of health, if he suffers from addiction he needs the support of the world. I don't want him flogged by the S*n for the next 20 years like Gazza, I want to see him grow old happy with a beautiful family and be smiling whenever he goes.

Tbh Walker said worse when at Spurs about us and to me it is totally irrelevant once he joined. He'll remain a legend. I'll always be fond of Jack as he's definitely a sincere lad. Shows he has a Heart, Lots of Empathy in him which he always has on display when interacting with the many children/adults with learning difficulties. Seems to make the time to stop and have a chat. Would still like him to stay tbh.

I think the other problem for Jack is that he didn't really believe that he belonged at City, almost like a form of impostor syndrome. He didnt really back himself enough.

I am not sure if it was true that Guardiola was desperate to sign him, even if that what the media alluded to. I will not be surprised that getting Grealish was mainly because of a brain fart idea by the PR team at City, assuming that being English with certain image that makes him popular among English football followers particularly young girls and boys will improve City’s image in the media. All big clubs have PR teams, and some have significant influence. However, it is not uncommon PR are out of their depth and make terrible decisions (Real Madrid is a good example). Apart from that, I agree with you on everything else, particularly that he was not even that good of a footballer to join City. A mediocre player who, at his best, which lasted for half a season out of 4, during the treble season was “a very small piece” in a huge system that included several much better and influential players than him, yet some delusional fanboys keep educating us he was the “center and heart” of the treble team!! A few years from now, when all is forgotten, it will become clear that Grealish was the worst signing (considering how much the Club spent on him) in Mansoor’s era. The sooner we get rid the better for the sake of the team’s welfare and stability. It will not be shocking after he leaves he will then turn on City and City’s fans, and I am sure some on here will still defend him because: it would be under the effect of alcohol or it is media against poor him. Some will just never ever consider Grealish accountable for his acts or sayings. At the meantime, and more importantly, I am still waiting for the world’s football elites to knock on City’s door asking for the service of the phenomenal footballer named Jack Grealish. What a joke :))
I don't think he will turn on City and I definitely don't think he'll turn on the fans it's not in his nature.

I personally learned from many years following football that anything is possible in professional football. Will he turn against City and City’s fans? We will just have to wait and see. Previously, he was openly supporting United against City, so it will not be shocking, at least to me, if he turns against City after he leaves. But if you think he will always be faithful to City and City’s fans, then fair enough. As I said, we will have to wait and see.
His dad recently called into talk shite responding to them saying that he had been treated badly by City, which is bollocks. His dad stated that he had had the best four years at City and hadn't fallen out with anybody, he'd loved being here. Now I know I'm paraphrasing but it doesn't seem to me that he's going to hve a go at anybody if and when he leaves.

I’m no expert or psychologist but I see a deeply troubled/flawed guy who just wants to be loved. Seems lost and just wants to be wanted and liked.
I know it seems out of the realms of possibility but I’d love it if he somehow turned it around at city.

Can’t help but like the guy and I hope it works out for him I really do.

Does anyone really think Jack can pull this around.
You need more than i like him.You need a massive improvement in form.
I just cannot see it happening.
If we get 40 million i would be more than happy with that.

Honestly believe a move back to villa would be the best thing for him,it would be the perfect club for him to re set and go again with....I think the break in at his house has hit deeper than we are lead to believe and not handled it at all well....tinges of gasgoine about him with wanting the arm round him and reassurance everyday ,talented guy on his day just needs to believe in himself and hope it works out for him on the next footballing chapter in his short career

The poster is plainly filled with hate towards Jack to state such a thing. There is no indication whatsoever that he’ll slag the club and the supporters off when he leaves, so it’s a view formed by negative emotions towards the player rather than experience and logic. And it’s gratuitous because it’s simply based on a hunch rather than Jack’s conduct to date. It displays an inability to think rationally on the subject.

Waste of time engaging with someone in that headspace as there is no reasoning with someone suffering from that sort of defect of the mind.

That's class

Absolutely.

I think what irks me about Grealish is him not standing on business and saying he was a bit of a snide tw@ back then and apologise.

It would make a difference. But there's loads on here glazing him, which is their right as is to say 'he was a kid', but that doesn't mean not being accountable for past actions and moving forward.

It is what it is, though and I don't like tw@s at my club.
Sterling freely admitted he was a United fan as a kid, I imagine a few players around that generation were. It looks like our club has shown him the light!

For us it’s win win. If he stays and gets his form back, win.
If he goes for 40m we paid 60m for a player who contributed to a treble, and in some ways put the club even more so on the map, what with this kind actions. He is a megastar. Also a win.

Me personally I would love, love, love it if he got back to where we all know he can be on the pitch.

As for folk getting upset if and when he ever said any hurty words about the club, (he won’t), get a backbone.

What makes you think he can get it back.
There is no real evidence that ge can.

Add on Jack is nowhere near Raheem in the goals scored and made stakes despite some saying he was the worst finisher at the club at the time.
