Grealish costs about £2.7m per month
So what, it's not yours or my money, we are supporters not the people who run the club. Under our ownership this club, this Manchester City will never sink to the depths of previous owners. City can afford it or they wouldn't have given him a contract. Stop thinking negatively about how the club is run, it is in safe hands and if Grealish is still part of it let the owners and management sort it because sure as hell, yours or my opinion will not cause them any loss of sleep. As I said earlier stop thinking about it, life gets calmer ;-)

And we can debate about individuals, but they operate within the cogs of the most successful team in football for a decade. Grealish has been a part of that, on the pitch and off it. Whatever alchemy has taken place, he has been there, along with all the others, to deliver success that we could only have dreamed of. Should the club decide he should move on, good health to him. If he should stay, I wish him a great season ahead. His price tag and wages are down to us, not him. We wanted him, we got him, and he is a multiple trophy winner, alongside his teammates.

can i just say, when hes been on our parades when we have won the league, hes pissed but we dont play again until auguest so it doesnt matter if he gets pissed on holidays as long as hes not pissed when coming back, hes a human who likes a drink when on breaks, how many on her goes on holis and stay sober
Too many compare the lifestyle of the common man to justify a 300k a week elite athlete going on the piss and getting into a bad state far too often.

I know it was only one game, but anyone who doubts Jack's contribution to our treble season only has to watch the highlights of, probably our best Champions League performance ever...

Best EVER performance by a City team.

I genuinely believe the pep era peaked that night. Everything just came together. Fans, players manager etc. was the best performance I’ve ever seen.

Been on a decline ever since that moment tbh

Istanbul? Winning 4 in a row?
To be clear I mean that performance was the culmination of years of hard work, key players at their peak age, good recruiting and the fans totally buying in.

I’m not saying the achievement (beating Madrid) was the pinnacle of the pep era I simply mean that one performance was the best performance I have ever seen from any footballing side. And at that very moment the team had peaked.

We weren’t great in either final in the treble season as the side ran out of gas. Of course we won the league the year later but we weren’t anywhere close to that level. We just managed to grind it out.

We limped over the line against Milan and United. The levels we played at that night haven’t been reached since.

Both in the stands and on the pitch
Yeah I'd agree with that

Yes, we retained the PL the following season for 4 in a row, but there were signs (for example the first half at Newcastle when Walker was run ragged) that City were starting to creak.
For the first time in years Arsenal took 4 points off us, and we were hanging on desperately at Anfield

The Madrid QF all came down to penalties, but equally we should have lost to Chelsea in FA Cup Semi Final

I agree.

In terms of performance, that was the most dominant and ruthless we have looked.

That is not a complaint about all that came after, it is just recognition of how good we were that night.
