Saga

I like the cut of you gib sir. Saw Saga supporting Styx in London in 79. I think triumph even featured Ashley Mulford from Manchesters very own Sadcafe for a short period in time.

Saw Saga in, I think, 1983, at UMIST.

Saw Styx at Bingley Hall in 1981 (I think).

Never saw Triumph but Blinding Light Show and I Live For The Weekend were masterpieces.

Went to all the above gigs, except UMIST; including both Styx shows in London, sandwiched between four Van Halen gigs. I went to something like nine gigs in ten days - ah, the days of being a student.

Saw Triumph a couple of times when they toured in '79, I think it was.

I can't believe somebody on here knows of Max Webster. Great band to see live. They used to back up Rush a lot years ago, is that how you know them.
Zon, I can't believe anybody knows them, never mind on here ; ) I still have Astral projector on coloured vynyl. Never thought of Heart as a Canadian band.
David Wilcox anyone?

I knew Max Webster before they supported Rush over here (I've seen every Rush UK tour and pretty sure I saw them three times on that particular tour).

I also have Astral Projector on blue, I think, vinyl; I have the follow-up, Back Down to Earth, on vinyl and a c.d. of both albums.

My mistake on Heart; they were a Vancouver based band in their early days but the Wilson sisters are American.
