Just to clarify, after just 7 pages - these are are some of the bands listed as ‘crap’

The Beatles
Rolling Stones
Oasis
Led Zeppelin
The Smiths

then you’ve still got Status Quo, Slade, Coldplay who produced some great stuff.

When you consider the hundreds of actual shite bands and artist then this thread is a complete mockery - SHAME ON YOU ALL !

except for the guy that said that toploader tune and the Darkness and Buck’s Fizz shout. That’s more like it.

This isn’t necessarily a one-hit wonder thread.

Beck is generally crap, but Loser was a great song. I think that it makes the thread cut for that reason.

Golden Age was brilliant.

Ffs - Beck is a genius, whether you like his work or not. He goes from angst to tortured soul to a grandmaster of funk. I suppose he does fit in with this thread ; add him to the list of Beatles, Sones, Smiths et al.
Great shout for ‘I love this bar’ by Toby Keith. Always reminds me of my pub - if I could hold a note, it’d be my karaoke tune.
Sticking with the country theme, I’ll nominate ‘Conversation with the Devil’ by Ray Willie Hubbard. Whilst I think no professional muso is ‘crap’ I think this song his way above the rest of his, if only for the line when he asks the Devil which religion is the truest -“They’re all about the same; Buddha wasn’t a Christian, but Jesus would have made a good Buddhist”.

Each to their own, but to group Beck with Beatles and Stones is delusional in the extreme...in my opinion.
