Great Soul Music

Well, nobody appreciates the late greats Marvin and Luther more than I, but honestly, I've never listened to a man bring me to the verge of tears more constantly than the tragically lost voice of David Peaston.

I fooking love this man's voice...

and from 'Night Music' with a little (only a little, mind you!) ham here's a barn buuurner with Dianne Reeves (Mr Sanborn rocks up too!)!!

No idea how to put video clips/pictures on but if you’re into Jnr Walker then the album Rainbow Funk is a must if you don’t already have it.

As for ‘The Reverend’ Al Green - Sha La La La and How Can You Mend A Broken Heart?

The two best Bobby Womack songs have already been posted.

I recently heard ‘Still’ by Lionel Richie on the radio which brought back a lot of memories from my late teens of unrequited love - there’s a lot of emotion in that song!

IMHO Michael Jackson’s version of Ain’t No Sunshine is the best and I also love I Wanna Be Where You Are by him.

Peaston and Luther's voices were the best ever.
