I like minimal vocals from the likes of Hope Sandoval, Alison Mossheart, Julia Holter...i can't stand these up and down warbling and whaling female singers. i find them awful!

These will never go down as greatest female vocalists though, just what i prefer from female vocals

If you like Stevie Nicks, this is the best live version of 'Rhiannon' you'll ever hear, especially the bit were she completely loses it!




...and if you like Ann Wilson, this is probably the best cover version of 'Stairway to Heaven' that you'll ever hear.

Great clips. Never seen either of those. That Stairway is superb. Ann is still a big girl but she has shed a few pounds since then but nkt her ability to sing a Zep song.

Rhianon was the first record I ever bought by Fleetwood Mac, still got the single somewhere.
