Depends what you are wanting from the holiday? If you are after a mad nightlife, they both have places that cater for it, equally both have laid back resorts too, Greece more so with so many unspoilt islands still.
My preferance is Greece everytime.

I prefer Spain, but I did have a class holiday in Kos in Greece this year.

You get looked down on in Spain now, if you want to be treated like a real person go to greece. The hospitality is like it used to be in spain 20 yrs ago, Spain has been spoilt by yob's and larger louts.
If thats your thing go to spain and dont fcuk up Greece.

Rhodes-Greek island, fantastic place

Went for the first time last June. We were in Lindos, for the Rock In Rhodes gigs, lovely resort/town. Especailly of an evening when the day trippers leave. Only knew of Rhodes cos of the dreaded F word.....Faliraki, but there is way more to the island than that. Rhodes Town is superb around the Old Town area.
Booked already for next years Rock In Rhodes (Limehouse Lizzy, Letz Zep, Are You Experienced?, Free Spirit, and Think Floyd next June!) but are going for a week before to see more of the place.
