It's difficult to have a total affinity to England when every home match is played at Wembley. How can people north of Birmingham be expected to attend most games? Add that to the type of manager we choose (nodding dogs normally) and the players selected that don't deserve to be (if the Neville's can play for England.........) and give me my club every minute of the day, every day of the week, every week of the year.

Exactly - I was far more engaged with England when City were crap. Not really been that interested since Italia 90. The wankfest of "the golden generation" was nauseating - I would rather watch Carlton Palmer.

That woman in Jackal is appalling, doesn't do subtlety. Redmayne is good as the Jackal but the tedious subplots with his family and that woman, drags. Original book and film light years ahead of this.
