Ah. So having read the article I see what he means. As Chairman of the FA, he is right to voice that opinion. If he were chairman of the Premier League then it would be wrong to say it. But as the man in charge of developing the English players in the country I see what he means.

Just read the article and realise how his words have been twisted to make them sensational. Looks like most of you have taken the bait.

i don't care what dyke thinks

my interest is city not england, and if our first 11 has no english so be it, then they are not good enough

don't get me wrong if through our youth or we buy the cream of english we get them into our team then so be it

first and foremost it has to benefit city then england

Dyke is a worm. He dumbed down the BBC and has taken every organisation down the populist route.not once has he talked about FFP restricting clubs from speculating on HG players and forcing clubs to ensure value for money as they try and break into the elite.

Perhaps if it was not for the FFP we may have bought more English but you have to pay an English player tax these days. I mean Carrol for 35 million or Aguero for 32. Kompany for 6 million or Smalling for 10 as examples. You cant really buy promising championship players these days without crazy fees. Seems that if your English and play 1 season your club values you at 10 million.
As it is it was not too long ago we had half an England team out on duty.
But as others have said, totally unprofessional from a clueless twat. Even the commission he set up is laughable with who he added to it

Going off at a tangent but will you be supporting England in the World Cup or rooting for City players?
