We're has the £200m come from?I thought the Tories held a 7 year inquiry at a cost of £200M but none of the recommendations were implemented.

Where was these amount of posts and threads during the height of the grooming gangs couple of decades ago ? Elon Musk comes along with a tweet and everyone suddenly demands we have another inquiry- even though we’ve had loads, including a 7 year 200+ million one - bunch of sheep.
I'm so glad Jenrick cares about the underclass victims of nonces. I know his party really really cares about the underclass.
Especially as he doesn't give a shit about kids elsewhere , especially Gaza. In fact he seems to gloat over them being exterminated.
Shame it took you 2 decades and a bout of populism to open your eyes to it.Everyone should care about the victims and the lack of justice many of them have received.

Still, better late than never.

I’m doubting your motive. You’re susceptible to populism. It seems strange that you suddenly care from nowhere.Interesting that me saying this
Should bring out such nastiness in you?
Another who just can’t stand anyone who isn’t on “their side” all the time.
Because they ask the wrong people to make them, go to the shop floor and ask them, I guarantee you would get better advice than some management type who’s brought in and just thinks reducing manpower is the way. The waste I’ve seen on projects that were not needed and never worked is scandalous in the public sector. If you know how to eliminate waste from an organisation in an effective way, you will be a billionaire in no time. That's the Holy Grail of all organisations, private and public, and has never been achieved anywhere. It's like saying machines would run better with no friction. Of course they would, and you can do various things to minimise it. But eliminate it?
This is the cop-out that every government has come up with for a good 40 years. 'We can have better services for less money by cutting waste.'
So why has no one ever achieved it?
I watched a (slightly shit, but still insightful) documentary from Channel 4 the other day hosted by a model. It was about these agencies that hire models to do 'image work' in exotic locations, which basically involves standing around looking pretty at parties or events for the rich and well-connected.I hope the people who're keen on an inquiry also press for an inquiry into why Epstein and Maxwell were obviously blackmailing very powerful people.
As if.
They don't give a shit about the victims of paedos . Not then and not now.
Can you let us sheep know how many police officers, council workers and politicians have been sacked/ jailed in those seven years.everyone suddenly demands we have another inquiry- even though we’ve had loads, including a 7 year 200+ million one - bunch of sheep.
Why? What’s been unearthed?Grealish is beyond finished
How many times over the past 7 years did you express your outrage about this? Or did it only become a big issue in your eyes when your political opponents were in charge, just like it did for Musk and the entire Tory party? Can you let us sheep know how many police officers, council workers and politicians have been sacked/ jailed in those seven years.
And how many of those responsible (or those in their community who helped cover it up) have been deported, jailed for life or debarred from welfare
Took rather less time go jail people for "hateful" tweets over past year.
This. People have no idea how vast the problem is. Solving it is a lot harder than being outraged about it.My wife is a psychotherapist, and the scale of sexual, psychological, and physical abuse of children in the UK is way beyond what most what most people can even contemplate. She helps people who have been damaged, for life, by the appalling treatment they have suffered in their childhoods, and in adulthood too. Any amount of resource can focus on trying to establish a politically driven link to patterns of abuse, but they will miss the immense scale of the true problem that we have, the vast majority of which is never, ever reported, let alone investigated.
And the vast majority of those 'closed communities' are FAMILIES!This. People have no idea how vast the problem is. Solving it is a lot harder than being outraged about it.
We live in a country where an increasing proportion of parents can't even be arsed to teach their kids to use the toilet before they enter infant school. You'd need to give every family its own social worker to be sure everyone was safe and that's never happening. We simply don't exercise the almost limitless amount of social control that would be needed. And it's worth recalling that there are numerous closed communities where God knows what goes on. Not just one.
Yes. A good example is Fred West's family. That went on for years without anyone picking up on it. And when you think about it, it could be happening in the same street as any of us, as we don't live in each other's houses these days. We don't pry. We mind our own business. It's the English way, not least in middle-class communities. And the vast majority of those 'closed communities' are FAMILIES!
